James Brandon’s high-tech rock’n roll magic art show involving dance, pyrotechnics and live animals gained him immediate success on the European nightclub circuit and at the age of 20 he became the youngest variety artist ever to star in the "Chapeau Claque" revue show at the famed Alcazar de Paris in France.

James first became interested in magic when his father brought him to see Doug Henning for his twelfth birthday. James then worked his up from the starter set his sister gave him to the conception and construction of his own illusions which inevitably led to a professional career magician, illusionist, comedian, emcee and actor.

His 21 tours of Western and Eastern Europe have included shows at the Winter Garden in England, the Polygon in Switzerland, 23 theaters in West Germany and a special Command Performance for the Royal Family of Monaco in Monte Carlo.

Among the most precious Medals and Grand Prizes bestowed upon James by the magical societies are the Siegfried and Roy Golden Lion Award he received in Las Vegas and the World Magic Olympics Medal he won in Japan.

Sparked by his appearances as guest narrator at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, Brandon was enlisted to play the lead in the musical production "Carnival" in which he sang, danced and acted.

During a quick succession of commercials for MTV and Panasonic, Twentieth Century Fox spotted James and hired him to direct Oscar winner Joe Pesci, for the scenes involving magic, for the hit film, "My Cousin Vinny".

The last few years Brandon has thrown the whole of South America into the international mix where he has performed in six tours through Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia and Venezuela publicizing his widely viewed TV Specials. His Latin American appearances resulted in James performing on the Miami based TV show, "Sabado Gigante" which is seen by 170 million people worldwide.

In mid 1997 James married Czech model and make-up artist Paulina Halskova. The newlyweds quickly returned to Las Vegas where Brandon was Starring in "Splash" at the Riviera Hotel and Casino. Later that year James Brandon began a six month engagement at the Luxor Hotel and Casino where he starred in the Dick Foster Production, "Imagine, A Theatrical Odyssey".

In 1998 James performed in "The Basin Street Follies" at the Showboat Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. In 1999 James starred in the Greg Thompson production of, "Las Vegas Nights" at the Biloxi Grand Theater. In 2000 James went to Malaysia to star in his new show, "Odyssey". Billed as a preview of the show that James plans to someday perform in space, the show sold out every night for six straight months.

In an effort to bring the quality of presentation that has made Las Vegas showroom magic so popular in America, James Brandon has packaged a special show for use at fairs and festivals in North America. This special show features several major illusions, and an element of interactive magic, comedy, and audience participation that will astonish and amaze your patrons. This show is designed to couple some highly technical illusion, with a warmer, softer, more personal side of the magic of James Brandon.

For that special show, Brandon will travel with a competent production staff of three assistants. The performance space that you provide must include backstage or wing space at stage level, in order for the larger props to be rolled onto the stage during performances. Technical production is easy, requiring only basic lighting and one microphone and a CD player.
